300 Pasteur Drive Renewal Program
Stanford Health Care is modernizing its facility at 300 Pasteur Drive on the Stanford Medicine campus in Palo Alto to offer superior patient care and a seamless environment with the inpatient hospital at 500 Pasteur Drive. This ten-year project will culminate in a state-of-the-art facility, primarily providing oncology services, in 2030.
About the Project
Our facilities are being enhanced and our technology upgraded for exceptional patient care and an improved staff working environment. Stanford Health Care is planning to add approximately 40,000 square feet of new construction to the existing 300 Pasteur Drive hospital, including 58 new individual patient care rooms. This will effectively complete the transition of Stanford Health Care’s 600 inpatient beds to private rooms.
The interiors of the existing patient care units at 300 Pasteur Drive will be completely reconstructed, and a new first-floor atrium will provide space for patients, families, and visitors to spend time with each other. The hospital complex at 300 Pasteur Drive will remain open to patients during this rebuilding project.
